With the beginning of 2009 a new Perl Mongers Group starts. The idea is to get together all Perl enthusiastic living in Milan and surroundings.

Membership
For being a Milan Perl Monger you just need to understand the meaning of the line:

• print "Perl Rules";

but it is also open to the ones understanding one of the lines:

• printf("Perl Rules");
• System.out.print("Perl Rules");
• write("Perl Rules");
• say("Perl Rules");
• Ada.Text_IO.Put("Perl Rules");

Group Activities

• Once a month the group will organize an informal meeting, usually in a bar/restaurant for having a talk about Perl as well sport, news and much more.
• Every three months a tech-meeting for sharing experiences takes place.
• The Milan Perl Mongers can also provide occasional trainings to companies, schools and to everyone else interested in Perl.
• In a few years we may be able to organize a YAPC.

Corso di Perl a Milano

Il gruppo Milano.pm è lieto di organizzare in collaborazione con la Provincia di Milano presso il prestigioso centro Vigorelli, un corso base di Perl.

Il corso ha lo scopo di introdurre alla programmazione in Perl e di consentire ai partecipanti di scrivere e saper interpretare correttamente il codice. Le competenze acquisite consentiranno nell'ambiente lavorativo di avere facili soluzioni in tempi brevi e di risolvere in modo facile e veloce problematiche legate:

• All'estrazione/conversione di dati
• Alle verifiche funzionali (ordinarie e straordinarie),
• Alla creazione di pagine web dinamiche (anche in ambiente MVC)
• All'interfacciamento a db , sistema operativo, socket, etc ...
• Alla creazione di interfacce grafiche
• Alla portabilità fra più sistemi operativi
